Parent Forum
Our Parents Forum meets once per half term to discuss developments at Clayton Hall Academy. We meet in the Library between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening and invite members of staff to update parents about activity in their departments. This gives parents/ carers an opportunity to ask questions and forward suggestions which we incorporate in future developments.
Our Parent voice from this forum has been used to support changes in our Behaviour System, assessment and Reporting System and within Teaching and Learning, to name but a few. It would be lovely to see some new faces alongside our regular attenders.
“Parents Forum is an excellent opportunity to have a direct two way discussion regarding my children’s education and welfare in an informal environment. The school gives an update on a subject area or initiative and is genuinely interested in my opinion as a Parent. In my experience constructive feedback is taken on board and actioned.”

Questions Asked
Q: Have you considered a qualification for students as part of PSHE?
A: Yes – We have been looking into a BTEC qualification in Personal Development which could be useful for Y9-11. Y7 & 8 will have longer pieces of work to complete as part of the new PD curriculum, which will be assessed.
Q: You’ve mentioned sharing the PD curriculum with students – Can this be shared with parents too?
A: Yes – we are going to start this via the Principal’s weekly letter and the Learning Journey for PSHE will also be published on the website in due course with the other curriculum learning journeys.
