Curriculum Intent

The PSHE curriculum at Clayton Hall Academy is merged throughout academy life and students explore the core themes in a range of areas and contexts including awareness weeks, Immersion days, Tutor and assembly programs and timetabled curriculum lessons. We offer a range of experiences including access to external partnerships for careers development a full character program to support personal growth alongside health and wellbeing to support our young people with the challenges they face today and in the future.

The Personal, Social, Health and Economic Curriculum aims to help pupils to identify their personal qualities, attitudes, skills, attributes and achievements and what influences these. They explore their attitudes, values and beliefs about these areas and develop the skills, language and strategies needed to manage any issues should they encounter them in their lives. We provide students a safe space to share and explore their views and ideas to ensure that students develop and grow without misconceptions or bias to thrive in modern Britain.
