Eco School Award
Clayton Hall Academy recognises the fundamental need to make a change given the current climate situation. Students at Clayton have formed an eco-committee to complete the seven steps outlined in the eco schools criteria to become an accredited green flag school. This passionate set of individuals will, with their knowledge and determination, will strive to review current procedures at our school, identify areas for improvements and direct actions to make the change to a greener, more sustainable school.
Students on the committee are required to complete seven steps outlined below:
- Form an eco committee
- Complete an environmental review
- Create an action plan
- Form links to the curriculum
- Inform and involve others
- Monitor and evaluate progress
- Invent an eco code
