The Humanities Department comprises Geography, History, and Religious Education. Each subject is delivered by specialist teachers. The Department collaborates and works very closely together in order to provide every student with a rewarding learning experience.

Humanities provides pupils with an understanding of important topical issues relevant to everyday life – students not only develop critical analysis skills, but also learn to evaluate what they see in the world around them. Through the exploration of Humanities we learn how to think creatively and critically, to reason, and to ask questions. Students have the opportunity to learn about and explore the cultural, economic, environmental, historical, moral, political, religious, social, spatial and spiritual dimensions of the human condition within individual, family, local, national and global contexts.

There are many field trips, and visits to places of cultural significance in addition to visits overseas.
