Athletics News- Some amazing performances and team results from this years Year 7/8 District Athletics championships. Pictured all squads on the podium enjoying their success.
The Year 7 Girls where 4th overall, the Year 7 Boys and the Year 8 Boys ad Girls squads where crowned team winners. Twenty one students have qualified to represent the District in the County Finals 3rd May in Tamworth.
Also pictured our amazing Y11 leaders who where timekeepers for the duration of the Athletics event and where just brilliant, thank you guys for giving up your day to help out.
Cricket News- The U13 squad have qualified for the County Cup semi final which will be played week commencing 1st July-v John Taylor High after beating Highfields from Wolverhampton in their Quarter final.
Clayton hit 92 from their 14 overs and limited Highfields to just short of 60 runs in their innings. Fingers crossed they can make the final in the first year of Clayton entering this event.
More leaders making Clayton proud. 12 Year 8 leaders helped out, organised, coached ran and officiated a Primary school Tennis festival held at Keele University on Weds 26th June, feedback from the organisers was just amazing. We send another bunch of leaders from Year 10 and Year 8 to help at a Primary Rugby Mega Festival on Thursday 4th July down at Newcastle Rugby Club.
